Blood Donor! 1st time! =)Date Sunday, March 16, 2008 | Commentswoah~~ 1 week of sch holidays
has passed so quick! Lol.. haha Wed met up with KaiLin! & WeiWen! with Celine.. hehe :D we met for dinner at City Hall but e famous chicken rice stall sister kailin mentioned was closed.. dunno why.. ( will be mentioning e chicken rice stall again later) in the end we went to QIJI @ Marina Square for Nasi Lemak.. not bad la.. hee :D then chatted while eating.. hehe then after we finished eating.. suddenly weiwen took out a box of cake with kailin's command.. Lol.. 'celebrate celine's birthday!' haha and oso i was surprised oso!! kailin gave me a belated birthday present too! hehe thanks sis!! :D and kailin gave speeches abt me and celine.. hehe we were touched! lol :D Friday! had my first experience for blood donation.. its at siglap south cc.. which is at upper east coast area.. lol waited for shuttle bus @ tanah merah mrt but to no avail.. in the end took cab to there.. lol.. then 1st thing was to register and to submit a declaration form.. then after that e lady took my blood pressure and some qns.. after that another lady took a few drops of my blood by using a tack or wat to " TOO! " my finger.. Lol! then i saw my blood being dipped into a beaker of solution.. to see whether my blood floats or sink into e solution.. so my drops of blood float on e solution which means ok! so nxt i went to the nxt person-in-charge which brings me to e bed then began to clean my arm area.. cotton buds with antiseptics i think.. to clean away e bacteria.. then they gave me a "numb" needle.. after that came the BIGGER NEEDLE which was slowly put into e same area where e 'numb' needle was previously poked. starting when they put e needle in kinda feel a little pain but still ok.. then e blood started to transfuse to a bag.. abt 7-8 mins then i finished.. phew.. haha felt ok awhile but on the way home felt a little giddy.. but felt very happy that donating blood is a gd thing cuz it can save lives! so i encourage those who never donate blood b4.. shld go!! i'll go again in the future!! :D 01:18 2009 | Designed by XFANTASYWINGSX |
